    About Me:
I'm a gamer and a martial artist. I have become more laid back about gaming in my old age (i'm 30 now). I founded and ran an online gaming guild called The Order of Blood for 11 years, retiring 3 years ago. I went under the name Morbeus Kain during those years, and still use the name on many of my characters today. After almost 6 years on Dark Age of Camelot (3 of them as a top ranked pvp'er) I decided to retire the guild running and hardcore power gaming. I played DDO for a short time until I ran into some money problems, but I decided to come back because the game went free to play, and I absolutely love DDO. All three of my roomates play, and we play on various servers as two of them only have F2P accounts. I have a tendancy to reroll alot of lowbie characters, and I am quite taken with halflings and rogues.

So, I’ve been looking at Permadeath playstyles.

I have quite a few characters on Sarlona, so I decided to join up with Extreme Explorers. I don’t tend to PUG because I don’t enjoy rushing quests. My system can’t really handle it, either. If I don’t get to take a few seconds once I get into an instance, I tend to get alot of system lag. This has kept me from getting on Lindsa on Gallandha and enjoying time with the Firestarters Alliance since I have returned.

So, now I have my first full blown permadeath toon, Hirska. My first bard, too. It’s been fun so far, and it gives me a reason to keep rolling new characters, which seems to be an addiction of mine, lol.

In other news, Morbeusx of Sarlona has hit level 5. So far, he is my first single class rogue. I think I may keep him that way. My roomate (lvl 4 elf paladin) and I took 2 lvl3 cleric hirelings into the Halls of Shan-To-Kor yesterday. We finished the chain without much difficulty, even just tanking down the guardian. Our hirelings kept dying however, due to the fact that they are STUPID, and don’t usually follow commands. I have my hireling commands bound to my keyboard for fast on the fly direction, but even then, they get into alot of trouble. I think I saved Erieli’s ass more than she saved mine in STK…

    Well, I’m back.

It’s been interesting getting used to the game again. I’m still not sure I like the way targeting is handled now.  It gets confusing sometimes.  I have spent the better part of the last week trying to take the best advantage of the UI and keymapping as I can. I tend to play on my laptop with a full sized gaming keyboard attatched to it, and I have killed off as much mouse use as I can so far, lol.

The problem really lies in the fact that I enjoy playing so many different characters. I have alot of rogue toons, and the system i set up for my UI has worked wonderfully for them….but what happens when I load up my wizard?

    All hell breaks loose, lol!

I found myself scrambling with my keys to stay alive. What works for my rogues doesn’t work quite as well for my wizard, lol

It would be really awesome if we were able to create multiple custom loadouts to make switching between classes easier.
