    1. Meowwoof Says:

Haste all the way!!! It just makes the whole quest go by faster and with very little pain.

    2. Dawnsfire Says:

Since I have been leveling my FVS lately divine power and divine favor have been my favorites. If you can’t hit the enemy you can’t kill them.

    3. Edwinge Says:

Resist Energy is one I find useful a lot of times. Now if only we could get a Resist Elements and a Resist Elements, Mass… or at least Resist Energy, Mass

    4. Tyrande Says:

Do you want a package deal or is this on an individual buff basis?

If I am on my arcane caster I always have “False Life”, “Greater Heroism”, “Blur” (either on an item or spell), “Stoneskin” (either item or spell) and “Mass Protection From Elements” as a package deal. Depends on the quest I also put “Resist Energy: “.

If I am not on my arcane caster I always try to have the equivalent wand/item clickies for them; or ask for them.

Haste is not as important for many of my characters. I found myself using the Upgraded Pale Lavender Ioun Stone, Silver Flame Pendant and the Mantle of Worldshaper for the Spell Absorption more and more due to fighting creatures from Xoriat.

    5. Lunaris832010 Says:

No matter where I go it is Resist Energy, Bark skin, and Freedom of movement. It makes life so much easier when those Melf’s acid arrows don’t do anything to you!

    6. CaptainSpacePony Says:

Resist Energy is #1. Nightshield #2.

    7. bkasavan Says:

The one i have in all the quests? Deathpact.
Even when i am soloing lv 6 quests, i still throw it up.

    8. Sarisa Says:

      #1 Resist Energy
      #2 Freedom of Movement
      #3 Haste
      #4 Death Ward
      #5 Nightshield

    9. Culver.Civello Says:

If I had to choose ONE buff… It would no doubt have to be haste. Nothing can beat down a boss like a party full of hasted nerds going wild!

    10. Hakushi Says:

Haste, Rage, Blur, Displacement, Freedom of Movement, Deathward, Resist Energy.

Haste and Rage are highly addictive. ;) Blur and Displacement for the chances of getting hit less often, Freedom of Movement to neutralize some CC, Deathward to block Neg lvls and some insta death spells and Resistances when needed.

Ther’s more very useful buffs, but I limited with those.

    11. Rinnaldo Says:

Definitely haste and displacement. I like attacking faster and getting hit half as often.

    12. cireyang Says:

Main charqcter is a ranger, so most used buffs are Longstrider to move faster, Ram’s Might to do more damage, Resist energy to take less damage, Barkskin to take less damage, and Freedom of Movement to protect from holding spells.

    13. Phemt81 Says:

Quite addicted to expeditious retreat since i use boots slot for others enhancements instead of striding.

    14. Marupal Says:

Heroism and Haste are the 2 must haves. Heroism for a well-rounded covering of bonuses to attack, skills, and saving throws (reflex especially!) and Haste for its ability to hand those frantic moments right back to the mobs.

    15. le_goat Says:

Grease is my favorite party buff, never leave the tavern without it.

    16. danzona Says:

Least Dragonmark of Passage means always running

    17. Glenalth Says:

Ram’s Might, because I love running around with ham fists.

    18. st.jimmy91 Says:

      1. Haste, because who doesn’t like their virtual crack?

      2. Ninja Spy I Shadow Fade, makes pseudo-assassinations more fun.

    19. nibel Says:

      Jump. Because I like shortcuts.

    20. rawrketties Says:

Haaaaaaste! With the introduction of TR this is undoubtedly the #1 must have buff for me

    21. taospark Says:

Haste, once you see its buff to attack, you don’t go back.

The one buff that people often forget about is Solid Fog, for when your party is getting hit bad and needs to break aggro before a wipe.

Oh, and Grease. Everyone except your party’s Monks and Rogues will love it.

    22. PLUGintoTHEpowerLINE Says:

Well, I’m still a lowbie (highest level toon is 8) … and I have to say:

      1) Nightshield
      2) Haste
      3) Blur
      4) Resist Energy :)

Those are my must-casts, anything else is gravy.

    23. az4a3l Says:

for me its nightshield, yea a +3 to saves and deflection to mgc missiles
resist energy cant beat a dr 30 of any element
stoneskin addy 10 dr for ur friendly caster
displacement and blur, first 1 for me blur for the OTHER GUYS
both versions of fire and cold shield, either for the cool looking effect of both shields and the must have 50% dr fire/ice
and last but no least a daily dose of greater heroism, mainly because the +4 on skillz let me use raise death scrolls with 85% and crit-h-w wands with 100% :D

    24. Feakoire Says:

Most used buffs for me are haste and fom.

    25. sirgog Says:

Displacement is probably the most powerful buff in the game, but Haste is the most important because it helps you kill mobs faster and also cover ground faster out-of-combat.

Resist Energy is, of course, #3.

    26. Says:

[...] Namentliche Nennung im Chronicle [...]

    27. Lycinda Says:

I play for the challenge and to explore. So I rarely use buffs. Usually, I get them when in parties and someone is casting them.

The only buff I use on my toons, in spell or potion form, is resist energy. Although I try to survive without using them first. Sure, I’ve died a few times but it’s a lot more satisfying to get through a dungeon relying on my wits in utilizing my toons’ abilities without being buffed-up.

    28. Ukrutor Says:

      Haste. Run, Forrest, run.

    29. knightgf Says:

Only one buff I need really…

When the battle begins to turn against you…when enemies seem to shrug off your blows…when you must awaken the inner reserves of your strength to fend off your foes…and when you can’t hold back the darkness in your heart…

      MIGHTY RAGE!!!!!!!!!

      *Rawrrrr*

      (Screen glows red)

    30. baletraeger Says:

Greater Heroism; even though my epic trapping skills don’t really need a +4 buff, its better than having exploded trap parts on your face.

Oh, and the boost to attack doesn’t hurt either :P

    31. NinetyNineTails Says:

Haste is simply #1. Not only for the offensive benefits, but simply running faster is often badly undervalued. There’s no comparison between being faster than the enemies and being slower; the former is fundamentally safe, the latter is fundamentally unsafe. Even classes that don’t need the melee speed from Haste need Haste.

Behind that, it’s the usual grab-bag of Stuff You Want; Displacement, Resist Energy, Freedom of Movement, Death Ward, Shield/Nightshield against Magic Missile spammers, Greater Heroism, Inspire Heroism, all that sort of thing.

    32. arjiwan Says:

Buff that me and my guildie friends need before each quest? The most overpowered buff of all. Love…

I always insist BYOL (Bring your own love) in my raid and/or party.

    33. Backley Says:

      Most used? Haste, by far.
Most loved? Human Versatility IV - Skills, how else could I hit my Haggle 93 for buying/selling?

    34. Dulcimerist Says:

Haste to move fast and kill enemies before they can do a ton of damage to me.

Resist/Protection from Elements is important so that I don’t take a ton of damage from elemental attacks and traps.

    35. brown_tide Says:

      Haste?Jump?Shield?Naah.My mandatory buff is…jump!
Yes,jump! You woud be surprised how much time it helped me survive or get somewhere faster or hit something!

    36. Bradik_Losdar Says:

My one must have is Greater Heroism. Extra HP, bonuses, and Fear immunity make it tops in my book. Following closley behind are Shield and Haste for all the really nice benefits they give. However if I had my say, I would want ALL buffs all the time. :P I love it when I can fill the top of the screen with happy happy joy joy icons!! :D

    37. spyyder976 Says:

Haste, Resist Energy, Nightshield, Displacement, etc.

    38. danotmano1998 Says:

      Expeditious Retreat, Jump, Displacement.
With those, you’re a faster moving, harder to hit caster.

    39. Leiton Says:

A carefully-chosen Resist Energy makes a HUGE difference in so many quests, it’s always at the top of my list.

    40. iRjagular Says:

Displacement, Haste, and Jump are what keeps my caster alive! I feel naked and vulnerable without them. I’ve been called a “jumping bean” before.

    41. Cauthey Says:

Stoneskin, Greater Heroism, and Jump are flat standard.

Displacement is a go if I think I can spare the SPs for it. It’s so short duration, though. I often skip it.

Rage/Haste on me to get through the trash mobs faster.

Resist Energy and Protection from Elements applied topically as needed.

    42. AbuTai Says:

With my Wizard/Rogue, I cast Nightshield, Greater Heroism, and Blur as my basic package. This affords me a modest protection at a good price, spell point-wise. I can always add in Resists, Jump, Expeditious Retreat and Displacement as needed. I find that I only use Stoneskin for boss fights, and then only when I know it will be a big beat down drag out while soloing.

    43. Siegemage Says:

Haste and Energy resist are must haves for anyone IMO
