    So a new raid done………

My hearty band of guildies was doing the Tower of Despair and I was able to go along. Here is what I found it is not as complicated as some make it out to be. With the exception of getting to the raid itself that took some explaining form my guildies, we ventured in and soon came to the judge and jailed and I laughed as many of the tanks were blown around the room but we made short work of the and sailed on the ascend the tower, next we came to another big red and soon had he dispatched. I was told it was going to be tough on clerics but I found out that with three clerics in the party it went smooth. Lastly we came to the court and our hero took on the named boss with her boots and soon had him down. I guess that either my guild was very proficient with it or it is not as nasty as some make it out to be. But we got him down and the rewards were handed out. I am sorry to see that not many things were there for a cleric, but I did enjoy the experience and the views and that the quest itself was not as hard as say Bastion and the New Invasion. It seemed harder to get flagged for the raid then it was to defeat the raid.

Onto the store, so many of you all will hear the wifey rants in the DDO cast this weekend but here are my views. Reincarnation……. not me. I mean there are a lot of my guildies who will do it and can relevel a character up in a week or two, but it is not form me. If I mess up in the creation of my character I play with its flaws. I will not reincarnate someone because it means I can have a 36 point build plus the three point tomes to make it even more of a min max build. That is not my play style but if that is what you want to do then by all means go for it. I am sorry to see them add two point tomes in the store as I am still excited to pull +1 tomes. I do not buy form the store on these items. Let’s see what I did buy so far though…..

Elixir of XP to see how that worked and drank like one of the five I got the rest is in the bank.

A secret door divining rod to see how it worked……….

A bracelet of friends to explore how it works, and with Rowan being my wife I have a use for that as she gets lost in the marketplace.

    A character slot……….for my FvS

A huge collectable bag and a huge gem bag which I am pissed at being made character and not account locked as I collect all the collectibles and all the gems. I have hundreds of these know lol.

That would be it. I do not see the whole idea of the store but maybe if I was a F2P player I could. But as being VIP some of the ting I think would be great (hint hint) Turbine is more backpack space, more shared bank pace more bank space especially for those hoarders like myself. To support the wife armor dyes would be good, and maybe a scroll case for scrolls like the quiver thingy is or how about a spell ingredient bag for all those spell ingredients we need as casters. A potion case for our tons of potions needed on a fighter type. Those are ting I would buy form the store. As for the upcoming hireling folder well that would also be awesome, but the only time I use hireling is when there is a quest I cannot solo and need a dead weight to open a lever or stand on a pressure plate. But hey maybe I even get one of those.

As for the new quest I am  excited to see even more content coming out like the turn around on that and let’s keep that going turbine even if it is five quests maybe just some small expansions every three months will keep my interested. I love the Sharn syndicate story line and thank you for putting it in.

Now the quest list… she put up her new link it is updated and please feel free to use it I do believe the only xp and favor I need to check is Vons and threnal and will do that soon and it will be up until they do another stealth nerf to xp or favor. I am looking forward to completing everything on elite and have only have like 15 to 20 quests left to finish getting max out favor on my cleric. So that is my post of gaming days for today and below is a cool pic I took in the ToD raid that I thought was awesome looking.

    So another tale to spin………….

    Posted On: October 10th, 2009

As I sit here drinking my enchanted drinks in the Wayward lobster let me regal you with the heroics of last week……..

I awoke to the sunny weather in Stormreach I went down to the common room to find a group of likeminded adventurers to go seek some more employment, as always the brawny lass was awaiting my return, I quickly joined Rowanfist the mighty, and soon we had a group of heroes to set out for fame and glory.

First off the party consisted of Tatertot the Cleric, Fruitloop another spinner of tales, Nabsgya another cleric and lastly a devout monk named Dantain. With Rowanfists and me, Zefflon filling out our group we sought out adventure.

Our first employer was Durk as he swore there was a secret creature named murk in the sewers, so once again we set off to find out if his tale was true. We cleared the infestation of Kobolds, and found no named ooze named Muck. We delivered the news to Durk who was once again drunk wandering the streets of the harbor. Next a guard reported to us that he had heard of a swarm of Kobolds attacking an outlying guard posts and asked if we could reinforce the men there. We ran to the guard posts and soon found ourselves swarmed with Kobolds being led by a troglodyte chieftain. We dispatched as they came a running. We soon had the guard post secured and the kobold threat eliminated.

Next our new companions wanted to try their luck at becoming famous heroes like me and Rowanfists by completing the Butcher’s path. Myself I was looking to return Morahh’s body to the city for a proper burial. She had perished in there last week. This was not an excited reunion of these dank, wet sewers, but we found no trace of Morahh but we did make it through without losing any of our members and once again I can claim that I beat the Butcher’s path. At this point Fruitloop sought employment elsewhere and Tatertot had to report to his church. We filled their absence with the cavalier Eric, a favored soul.

His church had asked him to cleanse an illegal gambling den and shut down their operations. We ventured in and found some bullies guarding the tables. The gamblers all fled upon seeing our righteous group come at their tables with axes and hammers. We destroyed the den of illicit behavior and even confronted the ringleader behind it. Being rewarded by the church is not making us rich, but it is making our fame grow. A man from house d’Philaren asked us to locate another missing container stolen by some street thugs and we venture in to the sewers again. He promises us that information is key. We quickly made short work of the iron defender under the control as guard dogs for the thieves we came upon a heightened defender named Shriketon and dispatched him as well. We recovered the missing container and returned it to our patron. He reported that the group had stolen another container and asked if we could retrieve that one as well. So off we go back through the same sewer fighting the replaced guards to recover his container. I really wish these all powerful houses would guard there materials more. We found the container and returned it.

At this time I ran into a more experienced bard who taught me some songs and also passed onto me the ability to charm some creature. I will use it in the future to defend my party members by having some of these creatures to fight for us. Nabsgya had to go and meditate somewhere and he left our remaining four adventures were hired to recover a certain book from a library in the lighthouse in the harbor. We quickly found out it was infested with undead and traps. It had a series of force fields up where we had to disarm. But we made quick work of the undead guarding the ability to lower the magical fields. We came to the book and set off to escape the lighthouse. We returned it to our employed that knew of the traps and thought better of telling us. Here a halfling fighter rogue type named Zifi wanted to join us after hearing of our fame.

Next while recovering in the wayward lobster we came across a shady character named Baudry who had a special shipment of Dragonshards in a warehouse here in the harbor. He knew of a threat to his import business, and asked if we could protect it. The threat was from a group of kobolds and his man was going to set a defensive trap on the box so we quickly guarded the box and killed of those yarking kobolds. We returned to Baudry and found that another businessman named Hazadil had gotten a special dragonshard of Baudry’s and asked if we could find it for him. We snuck in to Hazidill’s warehouse with the help of Baudry’s man and found no trace of the missing dragonshard. We did have to destroy a lot of Hazadill’s boxes though. We returned with our sad news to Baudry and he said Hazadill had just returned to the same warehouse with his minions in tow, and asked if we could go confront them. We blazed through the network of warehouse to find no Hazadill but did recover Baudry’s missing shipping canister. We returned with warm thanks from Baudry.

After our success there we were hired by the guard Jung to recover his lost badge. We found that the nest of kobolds who stole his badge was being led by numerous hobgoblin lieutenants and that they all were being led by a powerful ogre. We dispatched them all the depths of hell, and returned the badge which by the way was in the lair of an enormous black widow spider. I mean she was the size of a horse drawn cart. He rewarded us for the action and sent us Captain Cage.

On the way to this elusive Captain Cage we were joined by Vyxn the bard and his companion Tsucol the paladin. He had a job saying that a pirate named Yaryar was fixing to terrorize the waterways into Stormreach and wanted us to destroy his operation. We ventured to his island hideout and defeated numerous hobgoblins and kobolds, and several Ogre lieutenants. He had captured many sailors, which we freed and we found that Mad Anne had come up with a plan to cripple Yaryar. It seemed he had many kegs of black powder on the boat and she had booby trapped some of the ones on the island. She wanted us to place them on the ship and it will be destroyed. We collected all the kegs and next thing we know the ship is going up in flames then a mighty explosion which took the schooner to the bottom of the water. This brought Yaryar out of his hiding place and we defeated him and the rest of his pirate cutthroats. This won us a lot of fame and the blessing of the shippers in the Stormreach harbor. They had asked us to find Harbormaster Zin who had work for us.

He had said one of his guards named Arlos was kidnapped by an army of kobolds all belonging to a clan named Gnashtooth. We ventured into the harbors Waterworks and found the scouting party at the entrance to the clan gnashtooth’s den. We ventured in and found another infestation of Kobolds; however we dispatched many and found us needing a series of Keys. These kobolds were not as easy as others as many a powerful Kobold shaman was in their den. However eventually we came to their chieftain whom we intimidated into telling us where his prison of kidnapped people was and we sped off to the rescue. We came to ganshtooth’s prison and found it was an elaborate prison led by a ferocious kobold named Bloodletter who interrogated the prisoners we led some of his blood out and went off to find arlos along the way freeing many other prisoners. We finally came to Arlos and escorted him out of the sewers to return to his family in Stormreach. He told us of another guard captured and turned over to clan tunnelworm as a peace offering between tribes. So off the heroes of Stormreach go to find Venn. We ventured into clan tunnelworm’s lair. Now their lair was more interspersed with levers and traps then clan ganshtooth’s. But we finally came to Boss Jetick and received his papers detailing where their prison was. We ventured in to the prison to find not only it was filled with kobolds but several powerful ogres as well. WE had to search like a thousand cells but we finally came to the one holding Venn only to find out it was too late. Venn had perished in his imprisonment. However on his body we found a note telling us of a secret of Shan to Kor, and seek the wayfinder in the marketplace. We returned to Harbormaster Zin and he rewarded us and told us we were true heroes of Stormreach. I returned to my bard friend and learned even some more interesting songs like this one.

“There was a girl form Nantucket………..”

Err maybe later gentle folks as I am getting those eyes from Rowanfists who thinks it may be time for bed. I leave in the warm common room of the Wayward lobster and the nutty taste of spiced ale. May your rewards be grand, your foes fall, your friends live and your fame grow.

May Kelemvor, my god, judge you fairly if you do fall.

Quest list validating and running around.

So with the new patch out this week I guess Turbine decided to combine the quests in group. I have noticed that all of Korthos Island with the exception of Misery’s Peak is now level one, and that they moved the catacombs all to the same level range. As well they bumped the level range of waterworks. I guess they have decided to make them all in the same area. However this makes me the validator of my wife’s quest list a little bit annoyed as I have to run around and check them all again. I have almost compiled the whole list and made sure of everything but damn  my poor cleric is sick of bouncing around Stormreach checking everything out.

As for my characters, a guildie wanted to run the Crucible so I jumped on lev 14 rogue and had a blast. I now noticed when using WoP (wounding of puncturing) that on top of the damage shown above when you hit a target it also shows how much Con damage you did. Very nice side extra, as it lets me know when I have took him done enough to deal a death dealing blow. We ran POP (Prisoner of the Planes) next and boy was it fast. We had the chest spawn in the first two rooms we encountered and was done in like 15 minutes. I have also noticed drastically that the XP had dropped in these. Well that means I guess more running them to get the XP out of there and bring your characters up.

Next we took to running our uppers and did Prey as the wifey and I needed more Tempest runes. We quickly vanquished those damn Ice Giants and got our runes, and I modified my armor and I have now completed 2 out of 3 parts right. My little robe now has Heavy Fort, and Dex +6, now to have run SoS (Stealer of Souls) till i get my Spell Pen 8 that I want on my armor. So now to figure out pair of gloves to wear since I do not need my Dex +6 gloves anymore. No you can not have them they have been mailed off to the wifes rogue.

So you may all ask what list well here is the link, she started this years ago for a few friends ogf hers and has won some minor acclaim for it. She did a good job putting it together, and my job now is to help ensure it stays up to date. Here is the link:

The First Tale: Escape form Korthos (Permadeath)

    “Well met,

My name is Zefflon the Bard and I have a tale for you. On the 27 Day of Sep in the year of the White Dragon, I having beguiled the lass I met the day before teamed up with some adventurers struck with the same disaster as I, they must have been riders on the ship I was on, coming to Stormreach. To remember the ship was lost at sea after being attacked by a vicious white dragon. I thought to be the only survivor but others must of survived and awash on the shores of this island. My new companions dressed in the linen shifts we were asleep in and besought of our items and coin, looked for employment in the village of Korthos.

My companions are myself, a lass I met outside that Sahuagin filled grotto, named Rowanfists Paks, a brawny lass that had some special unarmed fighting capability, Morahh Ismorah A halfling bard/barbarian who must have hailed from the north, Halek Dragonsbane, a warforged left over from the wars who had to be a healer and follower of his robotic gods, Rhyzzo Hagglebot, a fellow spinner of stories even though he be but 3 feet tall, and the scoundrel Rhadaepd, another halfling of dubious background. Morahh who had been here longer directed us to the barkeep Sigmund who said there was plenty of work for people who would assist the local villagers in exchange for some coin. So off we went.

We came to a Heyton family crypt and was asked by Sigmund’s daughter Kaja to find out what the strange noises coming from inside were. We ventured in seeking fame and fortune and a way off this blasted island. We discovered that something has awakened the undead! Spiders large as a dog attacked around every corner, and zombies of the heyton family followed of every move, but after some fancy moves of Rowanfists, and some death dealing blows of Morahh, who wielded an axe as large as I, amazing feat for a halfling, we vanquished these foes, to only find the Sahuagin has infested this crypt. We easily dispatched these horrors to the deeps of the hell, and found the way blocked by a magical force. Some quick intuitive powers of our group easily overcame this as we discovered that the key to this force was a series of three crests hidden in a trio of altars. We came across the source of the undead a Sahuagin priestess which we quickly destroyed. Our rogue had found a chest left by the heyton family and was trapped to believe it. He quickly neutralized the trap and we thought since the dead have no need of worldly possessions we emptied the chest. We returned to Kaja to inform her that the dead were asleep in the long silence again and she rewarded us with a magical ring.

Next employer was Linus Weir who wanted our help retrieving a series of scrolls old man Heyton left in the village warehouse. Seemed a simple enough task and we set forth, to find the warehouse besieged by a spiders and rats. After easily dispatching these we came to a complex locked door, and not knowing how to open it, set about looking for a key. We found yonder key in a crate, must of been hidden there by old man Heyton to guard his scrolls. Once we picked up the key we found that our presence was sensed by a Sahuagin who had built a lair behind a secret door in the warehouse. Morahh, Rowanfists easily dispatched this creature back to the briny deep, and we discovered he had accumulated a little stash of treasure which we distributed to the party. Finally I can eat tonight. We opened the door to discover that old man Heyton wasn’t to trustworthy not only did he lock the door but he had placed the scrolls under some protective magic that was attuned to a complex puzzle. Rhadaepd and Rhyzzo quickly discovered the correct placing of the floor tiles and we returned to Linus with the scrolls and he rewarded us with a magical belt.

Realizing it was still early morning and we had plenty of time on our hands we went forth looking for some more employment and Sigmund led us to Baldar the Bold who returned to Korthos with a Cannith Crystal, a magical device which powers the magical items in and around Korthos. He said the Devourer cult would come back to the village tonight to destroy the crystal and wanted to know if we would guard the crystal. We agreed. We ventured in to the Korthos Hall and soon after we set up were placed upon the followers of the Devourer cult. Some quick work by our team easily sent these misguided devout cultist to the hell they spawned form and we saved the crystal from damage. The cult must have suspected a group to guard the crystal as the even send a Sahuagin priestess to assist in the raid. We dispatched them all and returned for another magical item.

At this time Sigmund had no more work in the village for us, but passed on some secret whispering he heard about a collaborator amongst the villagers and that they may be meeting here in the inn tonight. We hid ourselves in the dark of the common room and awaited the evil to come. A man entered named Jacoby Drexelhand and we found him to be the collaborator. We quickly dispatched his conspirators of the cult as they came to meet him but Jacoby escaped into the cellar. Now where could he be going? We chased after him and found a secret passage the tavern keep must not have known existed. We followed it down into the damp murky caves below the village to find a series of cultist awaiting us around every corner, but finally we tracked Jacoby down and he was discussing the end of Korthos with a Sahuagin warrior. We dispatched them both and Sigmund praised our victory with ale and food. He told us the Mayors daughter had been taken by the cultist into the wilds surrounding the village and that we should seek him out.

The following morn we spoke with the mayor and he asked if we would be willing to go rescue the girl. We agreed and spoke to other villagers who and some similar job in the wilds surrounding the village. A fisherman named handsome wilm, who wasn’t too handsome to me but Morahh took a liking to him. He was looking a noble form house d’Jorasco who was taken by the cultist and Ursa Jernsvard a local militia member who wanted us to find old man Heyton who ventured out into the wilds to discover the source of the cultist’s power.

We ventured out into the wilds and found a ranger out there named Gunnar who wanted our help to stop the Sahuagin from awaking a horrible beast to aid the cult. We jumped into the lagoon and found the entrance to the giant device controls and were we encountered Sahuagin and ice mephitis. Our rogue played a unique role in here as we came across some nasty traps set to keep others away from the magical device. We quickly found our way to the giant device and armed it to keep the nasty beast asleep for a few hundred years or more. He rewarded us with a magical hat.

We found a noble Sahuagin, if you were to believe that, that called himself Vekz. We dispatched him and returned to Korthos for some well needed rest. I befriended a fellow bard named Braij who told me some stories to pass on and the ability to discover secret doors. Having rested and needing to move on to Stormreach, we ventured out into the wilds to see if we can find Mistress d’Jorasco, and she was taken and locked in a cell in the Decrepit Catacombs. We dispatched the guards placed there to guard her, and then we found that Jacoby was not laid to rest but returned as a ghoul. The cult must have rewarded him with unlife for his failure in the conspiracy of theirs. We dispatched him and a powerful skeleton and returned Madame d’Jorasco to the village. We soon discovered a rather large ice mephit who whispered his name as Zeer, guarding the entrance. We dispatched back to the hell it was brought from and quickly found what had happened to the missing villagers. Sahuagin had taken them all. We easily freed them all, and defeated the cultist and Sahuagin that guarded them, and lastly found the mayor’s daughter fixing to be sacrificed to their gods. Halek by this time had proved his devout worship of his gods by keeping us alive with some well timed healing powers. We returned the villagers back safely to their home and were recognized as heroes in the village.

Next we sought old man heyton and found him in the old Cannith Manufactory. We came across some of the war dogs left over from the war, those robotic types. There grease proved to be difficult for us, but we ended their unnatural life, as Halek looked on and mumbled about us “meatbags”. We soon found our way blocked by a complex series of valves and crystals, but once again our leader Morahh quickly discovered the key and we dispatched them and found old man Heyton who had locked himself in a safe spot awaiting an onslaught of Sahuagin. They came from the depths and we dispatched them all with a little help from Heyton and his bodyguard Alagram. He told us we need to discover the power behind the cult and sent us into the white dragon lair itself. To think us a simple group of young adventures can penetrate the lair of a dragon, but he promised we would have help.

He was right the cleric form the grotto was there with her rogue and sorcerer friend. We split between two paths and fought our way through zombies, ghouls, cultists and ice spiders to see the cultist spawn an Ice flenser. We made it past him and the magical blocks they put in our path to find the true source of their power a mind flayer bent on controlling the dragon. At the crucial time we quickly destroyed the crystal that was assisting the mind flayer in bending the dragons will to him, and the dragon ended the mind flayer’s life for us. Heyton send us back to Korthos were we discovered the unnatural cold for this time of year had dissipated. Rinaar d’Thuranni the captain of the Sojourn welcomed us on his hip for the being the heroes of Korthos and took us to Stormreach.

We found ourselves on the dock of the harbor of Stormreach and soon realized how big the famous city was. My fellow bard got himself a gig in the local tavern the Leaky Dinghy, and left our group. The rest of us wanted to explore the city some and we found a drunk wandering the harbor named Durk. He not only was drunk but in my humble opinion a little deranged as well. He kept mentioning a secret. He sent us into the sewers were sought after his secret to find in infested with Kobolds and troglodytes. We were joined in our exploration by Ustiago Potter a favored soul of the Silver Flame. We dispatched the infestation and found a duo of kobold warriors that were brother led this ragtag group of vermin. The city walls itself seemed to dispatch oozes a many to end our heroic exploration. We found no secret and returned to the drunk to confront him. He rewarded us for finding nothing and sent us on our way were we came to Mistress Alhurra.

She told us of the test of all heroes the butcher’s path. A series of underground sewers infested with an all sorts of monsters. We thought us capable but soon found ourselves not. Our robotic friend needed to go oil himself and we recruited a Paladin of the silver flame Kasquick the mighty. In the task of proving ourselves worthy of being labeled heroes of Stormreach harbor we fought spiders, more oozes, kobolds, troglodytes, and many a wicked shaman. At this time I must recall with a fond thought of our leader Morahh the barbarian singer of songs, who lost her life in this place. She will live on long in my songs. A solitary adventurer seeking fame came to us his name being Lessahd another favored soul. Remember those shaman well it wasn’t pretty but one of them almost ended my life, with a nasty fireball. But some quick footed handy work on my part and the awesome healing of Lessahd, and Ustiago saved me form an untimely end. However I divert from the tale and we quickly returned to the harbor being victorious in the Butcher’s Path.

After many a harrowing escapes we thought to take room at the local inns of Stormreach and I found myself a nice cozy place where you find me today, The Wayward Lobster. Here you can drink, eat, and be merry or if you wish to test your skills in battle can even fight fellow citizens of Stormreach. I look forward to reuniting with my group in the days to come. May Kelemvor guide your soul Morahh, and for those listening to my tale may he judge you fairly when you approach him in death.

    Birth of a Character

Here starts the Tales of Zefflon the Bard (Permadeath Character on Thlanis)

“His vacation to Storm Reach was short lived as a dragon attacked his boat and caused him to wash up on shore of an Island the locals call Korthos.A human bard, looking to recount tales of hero worship and woe, he found a rogue, a caster and a devout follower that led him through a sahaugin invested grotto to reach the village of Korthos. For his flawless victory he was entiled to a Ember longsword and a ember longbow. Nice really. As he was taking in the sights a pretty lass named Rowanfist Paks came out of the grotto. A human brawler, she has the curves that would keep you looking even as she bashed your face in. Zefflon and her made there way to the local tavern to find some friends and see what the osland of Korthos has to offer. ”

So now off to bed for some early gaming on Thelanis to try this Permadeath thing.

Favor, Questing for Items, Inventory Upkeep and ohhhh permadeath preps.

So another day of gaming has come and gone. Today was a busy day.

First my wifey who use to laugh at how anal I was about recording everything I have has decided to keep track of her items now and boy does she gooverboard, not as bad as me but spent like six hours doing it. She found that she was missing some key items and we decided to get those. So off to the Orchard we went and harvested twenty taps for her Robotic “pink” rogue. She is now the prime owner of a minos legens helm. Then we went and retrieved those damn dragon gems for flagging for SoS. We had nailed that but missed the Shroud run in the guild. So what to do know, but then I realized I was but 55 points shy of 1750 on my Sorcerer. So we finished us some low level favor run and my Sorc ate a Dex tome. I know you all ask a dex tome of all things but yes, because I had allready ate a +2 Cha Tome and the only stats it would help was either Dex or Str. So I did Dex to to get my AC up one more.

We then jumped to the Clerics and ran the rest of Threnal and got our Dave’s memorial item Mantle of the Worldshaper. Nice item Turbine really good way to recognize the creators of th game. I also loved the change to Coyle that we can knock his butt out. We then realized neither of us had Gary’s memorial item and went and fleshed out the Delara’s quest lien to get the Voice of the Master. We know both have the ability to have DM’s Vision on our clerics. Will we ever use it probally not but it was a goal and we accomplished it together. Nice day of bonfding in game together.

We then quit our home of Argo to roll our Permadeath characters over on Thelanis for Sublimes Permadeath Guild escape from Korthos tommorow morning. A new Zeff was born. I tried simplifing the name to Zeff but someone has took my trademark there. So the orginal Zefflon Starbringer was born. The following is the first paragraph in what I am hoping is a long line of tales Of Zefflon of zeff’s Squishy explorers on thelanis.

    Zefflon eyes a pretty lass.

So now off to bed for some early gaming on Thelanis to try this Permadeath thing.

May Kelemvor judge your soul favorably.

    Demon Raid and Static Group

Well another day in Storm reach found me helping the wifey out to get her 2500 and due to some help from the Knights we pulled it off. Yes Row has now finally unlocked FvS. I see a new Rowan appearing on the horizon. I guess that means I need to create a new character to help level her through.

On a side note was able to run the Wrath of the Flame, new high end content, and as this wasn’t as mana intensive it was a blast and we completed it on Elite first time through. thanks Blood, and Saw and the other Knights of Chaos. We then helped a guildie run through the Tor to help him collect his last few Blue Scales to get his Blue Scale robe. Congrats Blood, you look uber. Wonder where the pink dragon is…. I am sure Row wants a pink scale robe. LOL.

Next we moved over to Ghallandra to run with our static group, Welcoeme TNT. Gods I have missed these players it is very refreshing to run with them. I have missed this during my time away from game in the last couple of months.  This is always a blast as they are some awesome people to run with. We explored the Valley in the Refuge and found only one rare the portal. After completing that they have told me that last week in my absence they had no rares pop in the other refuge open areas. Is this a new trend and the rares are even more rare? Well we moved on to see what Prey of the Hunter had to offer, and after a small miscalculation on our part we finally got to the end just to watch the white dragon die from the giants. It irked us all, especially those not familar with the quest and did not now that if you do not rescue her fast enough she dies. Well that ended another tale of the misadventures of TNT.

Back to Argo, to flag us for a DQ raid led by no other than the awesome Osharan. We flagged and waited to run til the last member showed up, but to no avail. We enetered the DQ lair and quickly put her down to see no raid loot. :( We did have a blast and enjoyed running with the brave Knights of Chaos on another run. I do love the graphics in there and love the DQ herself she is awesome with those lovely eight hands she almost kills you with. This ended another night of DDO for me.

I am thinking and have been looking realy hard into creating a new character to run in a PD guild somewhere. Have looked at Parvo’s on Argo, and Sublime on Ghallandra. Not sure where I may end up, but thinkin it might bring a little realistic view to run that way.

Here is the pic form the entryway into DQ lair I loved tonight for the screenshot of the day.

Omg is it hot in here, where is the AC?

    Favor Grinding and New Content

Ok so the wifey (Rowanheal) needs to get to 2500 so she doesn’t have to buy the FvS she convinced me ( wink wink) to get her the favor. She was at 2200 and some change and after I dragged fellow Knights along by the end of the day we were at 2441. Quite a good little run. The one thing we all pretty much hated was the Shadow Necro quest, and after running those again I remember why i hate them so much. However we blazed through it, and then I convinced the same Knights to go explore or lead me and her through the upper content. All I can say is WOW. I mean it is 19th level quest and we average out to be 16 -17 range so we were a little under but we managed to knock out the Weapons Shipment, Sins, and Genesis Point, and I do have to admit to liking the graphics. Great job on that Turbine. However the mana intensity of the cleric is a little overwhelming, and omg make sure your sorc can rapidly self heal. (Mine died a lot). Quicken is now almost necessary for the cleric of the group, thank god I have it.

Can not wait to flag for the new raid and see it, however did not find a darn bit of the ingredinents needed for the boots :( .

So off to Stormreach I go to finish off her favor, and then we have Static group tonight to run with some long lost friends.

Here is a pic we loved from the Weapons Shipment.

Omg what is going come through there?

    First Weekend of EU

Ok, so the first weekend back from my deployment finds me staring at an all new game. But I log in and find not all that much has changed, asfter leveling my characters that were capped, I went and ancidentally bought the favored soul class and rolled a new soul to Zeffy’s Squishy Explorers. Zefflae quickly made it to Korthos to watch as the F2P players ran around asking the smae questions a thousand times each. How many times can we use a rest shrine, and or how do I level, and what good is a rank. However I have tried to give advice when I could and saw some appreciate it. I also saw alot of ranting as people compared it to other MMOs. I tell you all right now, this is not WOW but it’s own MMO, so stop comparing it. If you love WOW then go back and play it, or take this game as what it is, a stand alone MMO, that is not a copy of another one. My wifey who also games with me, was commenting on the rude and lewd comments being said in open general chat and was a little offended. I am hoping that these children will quickly disappear as they do not enjoy the game anyways. Let them go back to playing the game they love WOW. I quickly left Korthos Island and leveled her to 3 and enjoyed the casting capability of the favored soul, however I think it might be a little spell power heavy as I never ran out of mana. One of our AD&D players signed on and started playing and is now hooked. We took her on a few quests and laughed at the newb expierence with her as she was astonished at the traps and such. I laughed as she cursed when her ember sword was destroyed by a ooze. I did enjoy the new expierence and laughed again. I updated the wifes quest list she has posted and looking forward to running some of the new shavarath expierence. Well that pretty much sums up the first weekend and stormreach I look forward to ridding you of the evil that continues to infest you.
